Editorial Policy

Last updated:

Betting Center is free to use. This page explains how the site pays for itself and the rules our editorial team works under, because you deserve to know both.

How we make money

When you click a link to a casino from our site and sign up, we may receive a commission from that operator. This is called affiliate marketing, and it is how most review sites survive. The commission comes from the casino’s marketing budget. It never costs you anything extra, and in many cases our links unlock bonuses you would not get by visiting the casino directly.

What commissions do not buy

Money and editorial judgment stay separate here, and these rules are not negotiable:

  • Casinos cannot pay for a higher rating or a better position in our rankings.
  • Casinos cannot pay to remove or edit criticism from a review.
  • We list casinos that have no affiliate program with us at all, when they deserve to be listed.
  • Writers do not know the commercial terms of any partnership, and they do not need to.

Commercial agreements decide which casinos we have tracking links for. Testing decides what we say about them.

How reviews are produced

Every review starts with hands-on testing: registration, deposits, gameplay, withdrawals, and support contact. Drafts go through an editorial check for factual accuracy and compliance with our rating methodology before publication. We aim for reviews that tell you what it is actually like to play at a casino, including the parts the casino would rather we skipped.

Corrections and updates

When we get something wrong, we fix it. Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are verified, and significant changes to a review are reflected in the update date on the page. Casinos change their terms constantly, so we also re-check reviews on a rolling schedule. If you spot something outdated, contact us and we will retest.

Independence and standards

Our reviews reflect the genuine opinion of the reviewer based on documented testing. We follow the same standards that consumer protection authorities expect from affiliate publishers: commercial relationships are disclosed, opinions are honest, and claims are backed by what we actually experienced on the site.
